Meet the woman behind the Unity Rectangle Necklace

FATIMA DEDRICKSON of @stylefitfatty

Tell us a little bit about yourself for those who may not know you!

Hi! My name is Fatima (everyone calls me Fatty) I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I moved to Utah to run track at BYU, then met my husband and we now have 4 kids. I love to learn new things, meet new people and love to have a good time!

What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Empath, happy, loud ;)

Who are some people that inspire you?

My mom & Serena Williams.

What inspired the design of the Unity Rectangle?

After sharing my story, I was amazed with the amount of strangers that, through my story, committed to show up and stand up for what is right. I truly felt so loved, a sense of protection, and that is what the hands represent.

What does the word Unity mean to you?

It means togetherness. We are never alone, and because of that we are stronger together.

How do you hope someone feels when they wear the Unity Rectangle?

I truly hope that you feel brave enough to stand up for what is right. Seen. You are special and there's NOBODY like you! Loved. As we hold hands, I hope you feel the love I have for you and whoever gifts this to you.

What is your favorite chain length to wear the piece? Do you like to layer or style your Unity Rectangle with any other pieces?

I love the new adjustable chain, I wear it as 20" the most! I have layered it, but mostly wear it alone!

This limited edition gold rectangle is leaving the site on Feb. 28, so be sure to head over to the listing & check out the necklace if you haven’t already. And to top it off, a portion of all proceeds from this collaboration will be donated to Fatima’s charity of choice— The Loveland Foundation.
